The fabric ones in particular have a very nice look (compared the the paper or light blocking ones) and go up super easy. All you do is cut the width to size if needed. If you have a paper cutter that works best for a clean cut, otherwise a box cutter will do in a pinch. Then remove the adhesive at the top and stick up in your window. I have these on 2 of my windows as I had trouble finding prefabricated shades to fit these windows. After a year and a half, they are still stuck very well and have a nice, clean look to them. If you are trying to block light these will not do it for you. You will need to get the thicker light blocking ones made by this company. These can easily be dressed up with a valance for a more finished look, or even drapes right over these to provide extra privacy. I very highly recommend these for new homeowners on a budget!
