(More customer reviews)This platter is just the right size for many serving uses. It is so handy that Portmeirion's Botanic Garden can be zapped in the microwave for a last-minute bit of reheating, if needed, even though it is beautiful and elegant.
For some reason, the surface of the Botanic Garden pieces is unusually easy to clean; remnants of food seem to just slip off without scrubbing. While it goes in the dishwasher -- and I do put dinner/salad plates in the dishwasher -- the serving pieces are so easy to clean I usually wash them by hand.
This pattern is so cheerful it is like having a garden of flowers on one's table every day, especially welcome on rainy Northwest days.
