(More customer reviews)This is my second drum-shaped sugar bowl. I love all of my Portmeirion Botanic Garden pieces, but I seem to be a bit clumsy with the lids for this sugar bowl! The little handle/knob on top is handy (that is why I chose it over the more rounded bowl) but the lip of the lid is relatively shallow and the lid can be dislodge without too much difficulty. I managed to knock the first lid off and shatter it. During use the second lid has chipped enough to be noticeable, but not to affect use. If you have small children you may wish to leave the lid off if only for your peace of mind! When cost of shipping is added on, it is less expensive to replace the entire set than to just purchase a replacement lid!
